Key Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed mixed medical and surgical ICU setting
- Manage variable patient ratios based on acuity (e.g., 1:1 for post open heart surgery and critical ICU/device patients, 1:2 for typical ICU assignments, 1:3–4 for stepdown patients)
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators, Impella, IABP, CRRT (NxStage), telemetry monitors, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and chest tubes
- Assist with or support procedures such as intubation, central and arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis, pericardiocentesis, TEE/TTE cardioversion, and transvenous pacing wire insertion
- Administer and monitor critical drips and manage hemodynamically complex patients
- Float to Progressive Care as needed; work every third weekend with no on-call requirement

Required Qualifications\n

- Active RN license in hand prior to submission — no exceptions
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Telemetry experience required; PCU-level experience or higher strongly preferred
- Proficiency with EMR system (Sunrise experience a plus)

Preferred Experience / Skills\n

- Prior ICU experience
- Experience managing critical drips, mechanical ventilation, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Organized, adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced critical care environment
