**Join Our Team as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Locals Accepted!** **Job Description:** - Transform lives as you collaborate with residents and care providers to offer exceptional Speech Language Pathology services. - Support and champion the mission and values of our healthcare community. - Conduct evaluations and therapeutic procedures under the guidance of physicians, ensuring safety and effectiveness. - Assess and treat communication disorders and dysphagia, including modified barium swallow. - Craft personalized therapeutic plans of care with functional long- and short-term goals. - Engage with residents and caregivers to incorporate their insights into the therapeutic process. - Provide expert consultation to physicians and team members about residents' therapeutic and discharge needs. - Monitor and adjust treatment plans to ensure progress toward established goals. - Maintain thorough and clear documentation of all interactions, accessible to the care team. - Recommend and guide the use of assistive devices for communication and swallowing. - Educate residents and caregivers while documenting their responses to learning. - Stay updated on Medicare, Medicaid, and reimbursement regulations. - Share your expertise with team members through in-services and collaborative efforts. - Contribute to the development of innovative programs and services in Speech Therapy. - Keep your skills sharp by engaging with professional organizations and literature. - Maintain required certifications and complete annual compliance courses on time. - Ensure consistent Speech and Language coverage and maintain a clean clinical environment. - Embrace all responsibilities consistent with this dynamic role. **Job Requirements:** **Job Knowledge and Skills:** - Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills - Responsible and supportive team player - Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities - Analytical mindset for sound decision-making - Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - Ability to collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary team - Outstanding time management and documentation skills - Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care - Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English instructions **Education and Experience:** - Master's degree required - Valid Speech & Language Pathologist license - Certificate of Clinical Competence necessary - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred - Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred **Working Conditions/Physical Demands:** - Ability to perform tasks involving sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching - Lift up to 50 pounds (over 50 requires assistance) - Frequently lift/carry up to 20 pounds - Must manage stress associated with high-quality care responsibilities **Shift Information:** - Days **Minimum Years of Experience:** - 3 years **Certifications / Requirements:** - BLS/BCLS **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
