Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards in all interactions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ physical development and needs to create targeted therapy plans
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy sessions as outlined in IEPs
- Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed for optimum outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Consult with teachers and staff to ensure effective strategies are implemented in the classroom
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and recommendations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to support students’ educational goals
