An exciting opportunity awaits near Jaffrey, NH for a qualified professional seeking a contract role as an Elementary School Adjustment Counselor. This position works closely with educational teams across four elementary schools, dedicating time to Franklin, Wheelock, Symonds, and Fuller schools. The successful candidate will provide both responsive and rehabilitative support services to children and their families, helping students fully engage with the curriculum and school life.
This full-time role spans 35 hours weekly from August 26, 2026, through June 15, 2027, offering a dynamic and impactful experience supporting young learners and collaborating with passionate educators.
Qualifications and Experience Desired
- Master’s degree required, with background in School Social Work, School Psychology, School Counseling, or as a Mental Health clinician with school-based experience
- Demonstrated, substantial school counseling or support services experience
- Eligible for—or currently hold—certification as School Counselor (NH 0040), School Psychologist (NH 0046), Associate School Psychologist (NH 0047), or School Social Worker (NH 0049)
- Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary school teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills conducive to supporting children and families
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver counseling and rehabilitative services to elementary-age children and families
- Support students in accessing educational and extracurricular opportunities
- Participate actively in student support and educational planning teams
- Provide guidance and interventions to foster positive student engagement and wellness
