An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care in a cardiac stepdown unit specializing in post-procedural cardiac patients. This contract position is based in Nashua, NH, offering a dynamic environment focused on advanced cardiac care with a mix of telemetry and progressive monitoring equipment.
Responsibilities include delivering high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from procedures such as TAVR, cardiac catheterizations, ablations, watchman device placements, STEMI treatment, pacemakers, and cardioMEMS monitoring. You will manage telemetry monitoring systems, closely observe cardiac drips, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes. The role expects adherence to unit policies and documentation protocols via the Allscripts electronic health record system.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse license with BLS and ACLS certification
- Experience in telemetry and cardiac post-procedural care, including TAVR, ablations, and watchman devices
- Familiarity with cardiac drips and advanced cardiac procedures performed on unit
- Ability to work with a patient ratio of 1:4 during both days and nights
- Comfortable scheduling every other weekend and floating to similar units as required
- Skilled in professional communication and teamwork within a fast-paced cardiac unit
