Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule including every other weekend; possible on-call; ability to float to other units and take charge shifts required
Highlights:
- Specialized Co-Occurring Disorders Inpatient Treatment Program combining psychiatric care with substance use disorder treatment
- LGBT-affirming setting with sensitivity-trained, multidisciplinary care team
- Comprehensive treatment model including medically assisted withdrawal, stabilization, medication management, and milieu therapy
- Clinical supervision responsibilities for mental health workers
- 13-week assignment with scheduled blackout dates for time off (February 23-27, March 16-20, April 27-May 8)
- Supportive environment focused on healing, recovery, and patient dignity
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience with recent inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health experience (within last 3 months)
- Active Vermont or Compact State nursing license
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Demonstrated experience across multiple age groups and patient populations in psychiatric settings
- Current psychiatric skills checklist (within last year) and two supervisory references from the past two years
- Willingness to work with LGBT patient population and co-occurring disorders
- Flexibility to float to other units and assume charge nurse responsibilities
- First-time travelers considered with strong psych background
