Service Authorization Specialist
Help Keep Services Running Smoothly Behind the Scenes
Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting meaningful work? As a Service Authorization Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring individuals receive the services they need by managing authorizations, supporting accurate billing, and collaborating with teams across the organization.
In this role, you'll serve as the connection between program departments and the Business Office, helping maintain efficient financial and operational processes. Your attention to detail and strong communication skills will help ensure service authorizations, budgets, and billing information are accurate, timely, and compliant.
What you'll do:
- Monitor and track service authorizations for assigned individuals in MMIS.
- Track the submission of individual budgets to Service Coordinators.
- Review client budgets for accuracy and prepare them for Director review and renewal submission.
- Identify and communicate budget discrepancies in MMIS to the appropriate Director and Vice President in a timely manner.
- Track, reconcile, and monitor departmental revenue to support accurate financial reporting.
- Partner with Directors and the Business Office to ensure authorizations and billing information remain current and accurate.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with Service Coordinators and internal teams by providing exceptional customer service.
- Assist Directors with the development of annual departmental budgets as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation while supporting efficient departmental operations.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
· Associates degree required with a minimum of 2 years of experience in office work required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems required
· Valid driver’s license and access to a safe operating vehicle during scheduled working hours
· $100,000/300,000 Automobile Liability Insurance
