Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support K-12 students across multiple roles during the 25/26 school year in New Bedford, MA. This contract role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic educational setting, providing essential speech and language support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Manage a diverse caseload spanning kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Implement treatment plans tailored to students individualized needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Experience working with school-age children (K-12) preferred.
- Bilingual abilities in Spanish and Portuguese are highly desirable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads and work effectively within a team.
