Registered Nurse – Endoscopy (Travel/Contract Opportunity)
Plymouth, MA | 13 Weeks | 40 hrs/week | 8-hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Job Description:
We’re seeking an experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse to join a dynamic GI/Endo team. The RN will provide safe, high-quality patient care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures. This role involves working closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to ensure smooth workflow and excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with a variety of GI/endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, etc.).
- Provide pre-procedure assessments and patient education.
- Monitor patients intra-procedure, including sedation support.
- Deliver post-procedure recovery care and discharge instructions.
- Maintain strict infection control and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
- Document care accurately in the EMR.
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- BLS (required), ACLS (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy/GI experience
- Strong critical-thinking and patient-care skills
- Experience with moderate sedation preferred
