This position is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while delivering effective mental health services. You will collaborate closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, using advanced electronic health record systems like AVATAR to ensure seamless communication and documentation of client care.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations for clients, documenting findings from the initial consultation through to discharge.

  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address clients’ unique mental, behavioral, and emotional health needs.
  • \n

  • Facilitate one-on-one and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to encourage self-discovery and resolution of mental health challenges.
  • \n

  • Regularly assess client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, providing ongoing support to ensure effective recovery.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop intervention plans, sharing insights and client feedback to optimize mental health outcomes.
  • \n

  • Engage in follow-up consultations with hospitals and referring physicians for clients needing additional support or acute care.
  • \n

  • Preemptively identify and address behaviors that hinder recovery, employing preventative strategies within your counseling practices.
  • \n

  • Provide guidance and support to family members of clients, helping them navigate challenges associated with mental health conditions.
  • \n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients encompass a diverse spectrum, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, presenting a wide range of mental health concerns—from anxiety and depression to trauma-related issues and addiction disorders. You will work closely with clients from various backgrounds, emphasizing an inclusive and culturally sensitive approach to care that acknowledges and respects their unique experiences.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
  • \n

  • Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.
  • \n

  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE), demonstrating mastery of core industry competencies.
  • \n

  • Proven experience in providing mental health counseling, showcasing strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to accurately document client progress and treatment plans.

  • In-depth understanding of co-occurring disorders, including addiction and other emotional health conditions.

  • Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and the implications of psychotropic medications prescribed by physicians.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities, enabling clear and empathetic client interactions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills contributing to a compassionate therapeutic relationship.

Compensation and Benefits\n
