Summary
We are hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for a permanent full-time opportunity in the Med Surg/Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH. This role is ideal for experienced RNs with Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, Telemetry, and ED experience who are comfortable working independently in a small Critical Access Hospital environment. The position offers competitive compensation based on experience and a supportive, patient-centered workplace.

$33.90 – $45.25 per hour based on experience
$70,512 – $94,120 annually based on a 40-hour work week
Schedule
Full-Time
Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
12-hour shifts
Every other weekend
No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, provide, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process and critical thinking.
- Provide care to a diverse patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric.
- Care for patients in the Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit setting.
- Monitor patients requiring cardiac/telemetry monitoring.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
- Make appropriate nursing judgments and clinical decisions independently.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Work independently and adapt quickly in a small rural Critical Access Hospital environment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, ED, Telemetry experience required.
- Rural or small-facility experience preferred but not required.
- Active New Hampshire or Compact RN license required at submission.
- ACLS certification – AHA required.
- BLS certification – AHA required.
- PALS certification – AHA required.
- Must be able to work independently and adapt quickly to a smaller facility environment.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
