Summary

We are hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for a permanent full-time opportunity in the Med Surg/Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH. This role is ideal for experienced RNs with Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, Telemetry, and ED experience who are comfortable working independently in a small Critical Access Hospital environment. The position offers competitive compensation based on experience and a supportive, patient-centered workplace.

Salary

$33.90 – $45.25 per hour based on experience
$70,512 – $94,120 annually based on a 40-hour work week

Schedule

Full-Time
Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
12-hour shifts
Every other weekend
No on-call requirement
Permanent placement
2 positions available

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, provide, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process and critical thinking.
  • Provide care to a diverse patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric.
  • Care for patients in the Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit setting.
  • Monitor patients requiring cardiac/telemetry monitoring.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
  • Make appropriate nursing judgments and clinical decisions independently.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Work independently and adapt quickly in a small rural Critical Access Hospital environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, ED, Telemetry experience required.
  • Rural or small-facility experience preferred but not required.
  • Active New Hampshire or Compact RN license required at submission.
  • ACLS certification – AHA required.
  • BLS certification – AHA required.
  • PALS certification – AHA required.
  • Must be able to work independently and adapt quickly to a smaller facility environment.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
