Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position provides an opportunity to support a student in a specialized educational setting as a 1:1 Paraprofessional in a Life Skills high school classroom in Chicopee, MA. The role is full-time and contract-based through the current school year, offering dedicated engagement with a student requiring tailored assistance across daily academic and personal care activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a student with significant needs, including toileting, diapering, and hand-over-hand assistance during meals and learning tasks.
  • Escort the student safely to various locations such as the nurses office.
  • Promote a safe, engaging, and supportive environment throughout the school day.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and family members to support student development.
  • Maintain punctuality and notify the appropriate contacts promptly if unable to attend.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED mandatory; an associates degree, 48+ college credits, or passing formal assessments (ParaPro or WorkKeys) preferred.
  • Previous paraprofessional experience in schools required.
  • Comfortable with personal care responsibilities specific to life skills classrooms.
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are highly preferred to enhance communication with families.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Location and Schedule:

  • Assignment location in Chicopee, MA at a high school setting.
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM 3:10 PM.
  • Contract through June 25, 2026.
