A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to support high school students in a specialized program designed for learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This role is based in Ludlow, MA, within the innovative Compass High Program, which emphasizes personalized and supportive education to help students build skills for independence in a non-traditional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to high school students within the specialized Compass High Program.
- Supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to ensure quality care and support.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to develop individualized strategies that support communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state requirements.
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of students with ASD and learning differences.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification (SLP - School, SLP - CCC) meeting all state licensure requirements.
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with high school populations.
- Prior experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other learning differences is highly advantageous.
- Ability to supervise SLPA effectively and contribute to team-based program delivery.
- Strong dedication to personalized student support and fostering independence.
Position Details:
- Location: Ludlow, MA (assignment based at Ludlow High School; client main office in West Springfield)
- Schedule: Approximately 32.5 hours per week
- Duration: Contract position for the 20262027 school year (estimated dates: August 27, 2026 June 22, 2027)
