Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Physical Therapist in a vibrant K-12 educational setting. This leave coverage position runs from November through March and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact during a pivotal time of the school year. Work full-time at 32.5 hours per week and help students reach their fullest potential in a collaborative school environment near historic Boston, MA.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Valid Physical Therapist license for the state
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Ability to confidently manage a diverse K-12 caseload
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with IEP processes and therapy planning for students with varying needs
Primary Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct PT services to K-12 students as outlined in their IEPs
• Assess student needs and participate in developing goals for therapy interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students' physical development in educational settings
• Maintain thorough and timely records of all therapy sessions, progress notes, and required reporting
• Contribute to evaluations and re-evaluations, and support the transition of students in and out of services as appropriate
• Offer consultation to staff regarding classroom modifications and adaptive equipment
