Providing specialized nursing care in an adult forensic and intensive psychiatric unit requires expertise and dedication. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to address complex patient needs in a therapeutic and safe environment. The position supports a Co-Occurring Disorders Inpatient Treatment Program dedicated to helping individuals manage both psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders through comprehensive care and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver complex nursing care using the nursing process tailored to patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement individualized and group interventions.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Mental Health Workers, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
  • Participate in medically assisted drug and alcohol withdrawal and stabilization efforts.
  • Support patients recovery and ongoing sobriety through therapeutic activities and education.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current RN license with psychiatric nursing experience.
  • Proven ability to handle adult forensic and intensive care psychiatric patients.
  • Strong understanding of co-occurring disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and substance use disorders.
  • Experience supervising clinical staff or Mental Health Workers is preferred.
  • Availability to start on the required date without exception.
