Do you enjoy working with children and making a positive impact? Imperial Gymnastics Academy is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and energetic Recreational Gymnastics Coaches to join our growing team!
Whether you have gymnastics coaching experience or have worked with children in another setting, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.
About the Position
As a Recreational Coach, you'll teach gymnastics fundamentals in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment. You'll help children build confidence, develop new skills, and foster a lifelong love of movement while creating an exceptional experience for every athlete and family.
Responsibilities
- Coach recreational gymnastics classes for preschool and school-age athletes.
- Provide a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
- Teach gymnastics skills using IGA's curriculum and lesson plans.
- Spot athletes safely and encourage proper technique and skill progression.
- Maintain class organization while ensuring every child receives individual attention.
- Build positive relationships with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches.
- Assist with camps, birthday parties, open gyms, special events, and other programs as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized gym environment.
- Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to lead each class with enthusiasm.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is required (teaching, coaching, childcare, camps, education, or similar).
- Gymnastics, cheerleading, dance, or other athletic experience is preferred but not required.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and professional.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift, spot, and actively coach throughout classes.
- Available to work afternoon/evening shifts and weekends.

Schedule
- Part-time
- Afternoon and evening shifts
- Monday–Friday
- Weekend availability as needed
Preferred Experience
- Coaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Working with children: 1 year (Required)
