Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school located in Lowell, MA is seeking a skilled Behavior Specialist with BCBA certification to support student behavioral needs on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This role involves working closely with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement effective behavior intervention plans that promote positive learning environments and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and analyze behavioral data
- Develop, monitor, and revise individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Provide staff training and coaching on behavior management strategies
- Document and report on behavioral goals and interventions with fidelity
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student programming decisions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain accurate documentation
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and fostering inclusive classrooms
