Seeking a temporary helper to construct multiple decks on multiple stories as an addition to an existing unit. This is to include ceiling work involving insulation, strapping, and finish material. The Carpenter's Helper supports a lead carpenter by managing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with on-site tasks. Working primarily on a commercial project with a 2 man team, this role contributes to efficient site operations and accurate construction processes. The Carpenter's Helper reports directly to the Lead Carpenter and typically remains at a single work site.
Responsibilities
- Handle and organize construction materials
- Keep the work site clean and safe
- Assist carpenters with daily tasks
- Load and unload materials and tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in carpentry
- Valid driver's license
- Familiarity with carpentry tools
- Basic measuring and cutting skills
- Understanding of safety compliance
- Ability to work effectively in a small team
- Strong communication skills
