Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify each patient’s unique trauma history and tailor suitable treatment strategies.

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, focusing on increasing resilience and improving overall mental health.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.

  • Deliver engaging and supportive group therapy sessions that foster community and promote healing among participants.
  • \n

  • Collaborate extensively with psychiatrists, case managers, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic and integrated care for each patient.

  • Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, empowering patients and their families through challenging moments.
  • \n

  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies, offering them tools to navigate their recovery process.
  • \n

  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate patient records.

  • Engage in case consultations and participate in professional development opportunities that emphasize updates in trauma-informed care.

  • Stay informed of the latest research, best practices, and innovations in trauma therapy, integrating them into your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse client population, consisting primarily of individuals who have experienced significant trauma. This may include survivors of abuse, neglect, violence, and other life-altering events. Your therapeutic expertise will empower patients to process their experiences, develop coping strategies, and pave the way for a healthier, more resilient future.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • A current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.

  • Strong foundational knowledge in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to engage patients with compassion and empathy.

  • Ability to manage high-stress situations with poise and professionalism.

  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications necessary for documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health services is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
