About Us
Aiming to fill a huge void in the Mt. Washington Valley for children with special needs, Children Unlimited, Inc. opened its doors on July 1, 1986 specializing in early intervention and inclusive childcare. Very soon after, the local school district approached us about offering an inclusive preschool program that would also serve children with special needs. Our mission has always been to foster and strengthen meaningful relationships that will provide a foundation for each child and each family to be happy, healthy and engaged members of our community.
Today, we employ over 30 staff and serve hundreds of families each year through our four main programs which include a child care licensed for up to 68 children, an inclusive preschool where typical children and those with special needs learn and grow together, an outpatient children's clinic offering pediatric OT, PT, speech therapy, and behavioral health therapy, and the Family Connections Resource Center that works with families throughout Carroll County, specializing in family counseling, resource, referral, and service coordination, crisis intervention, parent education, support, and advocacy, and much more.
