Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Grade 2 Teacher role located in Norwood, MA. The Grade 2 Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering standards-based lessons across core subjects, including literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing age-appropriate learning activities, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, assessing student progress, and maintaining accurate records. The teacher will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment, communicate regularly with families and guardians, and collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administrators to support student growth. Additional duties may include participation in team meetings, professional development, school events, and other responsibilities as assigned by school leadership.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Teaching, Elementary Education, and Education to support Grade 2 learners.
- Experience or training in Curriculum Development, with the ability to plan and implement standards-aligned lessons.
- Effective Communication skills for working with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
- Valid state teaching license or eligibility for licensure in Elementary Education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learning styles and needs.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom environment.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and collaborative planning.
- Experience with educational technology and digital learning tools is beneficial.
