Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in Worcester, MA, supporting 2nd and 3rd grade students with developmental delays or intellectual impairments. This onsite contract role offers a schedule from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, starting as soon as possible, with an anticipated end date by the school year close or Spring 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet the individual needs of students with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts license or certification in Moderate or Severe Disabilities is required.
- Prior school-based experience working with special education students is essential.
- Ability to work onsite during school hours.
- Clearance through CORI and completion of fingerprinting as mandated; candidates may utilize a letter of suitability from a previous employer for fingerprints.
