An established K-12 educational setting in Barre, VT, seeks an experienced Special Education Case Manager/Coordinator for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time contract role (37.5 hours per week) is designed to support the implementation and coordination of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for approximately 45 students across two grade levels. The position focuses on case management and compliance rather than direct instructional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary case manager for a caseload of about 45 students, ensuring compliance with IEP requirements
  • Coordinate and lead IEP meetings, evaluations, and re-evaluations in line with VT DOE guidelines
  • Write, maintain, and update compliant IEPs, track student progress, and ensure timelines are met
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, service providers, and related staff to support students educational needs
  • Maintain consistent weekly communication with families and staff regarding student goals and progress
  • Review academic and behavioral data to inform IEP development and decision-making
  • Support implementation of accommodations and modifications across student schedules

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Vermont Special Educator licensure is required
  • Prior experience as a virtual VT Special Education case manager or coordinator is essential
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to write compliant IEPs and manage caseloads effectively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a coordination-driven position, ensuring compliance and fidelity to special education processes within a supportive school environment.

Interested candidates who meet the qualifications are encouraged to apply promptly to contribute to a dedicated team committed to student success.

Compensation for this position ranges from $21.93 to $47.93. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
