Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant role located in Derry, NH. The Medical Assistant supports clinicians by preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, collecting patient histories, and assisting with examinations and minor procedures. Daily responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, updating and maintaining medical records, handling phone calls, and managing scheduling and basic front office tasks as needed. The role also involves patient education on care instructions, ensuring accurate documentation, and adhering to clinical and safety protocols. The Medical Assistant works closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to provide efficient, compassionate care in a busy internal medicine practice.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Medical Assisting skills, including supporting examinations and procedures, taking vital signs, and preparing patients and exam rooms.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate, document, and interpret clinical information.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess experience in a Medical Office setting, including coordinating patient flow, scheduling, and basic administrative support.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess Patient Care skills, including collecting histories, providing instructions, and assisting patients with empathy and professionalism.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess proficiency in handling Medical Records, including electronic health records (EHR), accurate data entry, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • \n

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification (CMA/RMA) preferred.
  • \n

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • \n

  • Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • \n

  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with EHR systems; prior internal medicine or primary care experience is a plus.
