- Rotating MICU RN Days/Eves/Nights & Every Other Weekend - 36 or 48 hours (Floating Required)
- Unit Name: Level III Trauma Center Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with Med Surg Floating required
- 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU caring for adult patients with diagnoses such as Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, and Cardiogenic Shock
- Attendings and Residents present in ICU 24 hours/day
- RN to Patient Ratio: 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other Med/Surg areas
- EMR (Charting System): EPIC
- Job Requirements
- 3+ years of general ICU experience required
- 2+ years of continuous work experience in one location, preferably MICU
- Must be able to read telemetry strips
- Floating required, mostly Medical/Surgical Units, could be up to 4 or 5 patients
- Telemetry competency required
- Active Massachusetts RN License required
- Schedule Information
- Rotating shifts required: Day rotators may be rotated between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a shifts when needed
- Night shift does not rotate
- Shift options include 36 or 48 hours

- MGB IRP Resume and Evaluation optional
- License/Certificate Verification required within 30 days of start date and updated upon expiration
- Fit Test (N95) required within 365 days to start date and updated annually
- MGB Medication Exam with 80% passing within 365 days required
- MGB Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam with 80% passing required
- MMR vaccination or proof of immunity required
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
- TB test documentation required within 3 months of start date and updated if >6 month break
- Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days required
- MGB Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start date required
- MGB Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date required
- MGB Resume including past 7 years of work experience required for submission
- MGB References required for submission
- MGB Skills Checklist required for submission
- MGB Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form required for all initial assignments and extensions
- MGB Education Verification required
