We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee critical initiatives within our Global Finance Transformation roadmap. This long-term contract position is based in Burlington, Massachusetts, and will focus primarily on data governance projects, requiring a proactive approach to managing complex cross-functional teams and delivering results on time and within budget. The role involves working in a hybrid environment, with in-office days from Tuesday to Thursday and remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage data governance projects within the Global Finance Transformation roadmap, ensuring successful execution from initiation to completion.
• Develop detailed work plans for each phase of a project and coordinate the recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
• Assign tasks, responsibilities, and scope of authority to team members to ensure project objectives are met.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and address risks or issues promptly.
• Prepare and deliver regular status updates to working groups and finance leadership, highlighting progress and challenges.
• Review project proposals to determine resource allocation, funding needs, staffing requirements, and scheduling constraints.
• Populate and maintain the resource management system with accurate resource allocations.
• Apply best practices and methodologies in project management, such as those outlined by the Project Management Institute.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of finance transformation initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the finance transformation program.Bur
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Program Management, or a related field; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• 8-12 years of experience in project management, with a background in finance process improvements and finance IT projects preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing finance data governance projects is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in project management tools, with experience using Smartsheet as a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse functional groups and organizational levels to achieve project goals.
• Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Project Management certification preferred.
