This role focuses on welding and maintenance activities within an industrial environment, supporting the safe and reliable operation of site equipment and infrastructure. The position combines hands-on welding work with general maintenance tasks to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding tasks on equipment, structures, and components in accordance with applicable standards and safety guidelines.
  • Support maintenance activities on mechanical and electrical systems to keep equipment operating reliably.
  • Inspect equipment and welded components to identify wear, damage, or potential failures and report findings promptly.
  • Assist in troubleshooting basic electrical and mechanical issues as part of routine maintenance work.
  • Follow established maintenance procedures and document work performed to ensure accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance team members to complete repairs and preventive maintenance efficiently.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective gear.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience performing welding tasks in an industrial or maintenance-focused environment.
  • Hands-on maintenance experience supporting equipment reliability and safe operation.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail when inspecting equipment and completing welding work.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a maintenance technician or maintenance-focused role.
  • Exposure to maintenance management practices or supporting maintenance managers.
  • Familiarity with industrial site operations and equipment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to site-specific procedures and standards.

Work Environment

This position is based in an industrial facility environment, working around heavy equipment and production infrastructure. The role involves hands-on work with tools and welding equipment, and requires adherence to strict safety procedures. Work may include standing for extended periods, working in various areas of the site, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and work attire suitable for an industrial setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rowley, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
