The YMCA of the Seacoast is currently hiring Swim Instructors to join our enthusiastic and mission-driven aquatics team! Whether you're an experienced swimmer, a former swim team member, or someone who just loves the water, this is your chance to share your passion while helping others learn life-saving skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Teaching swim lessons at the Y is more than just a job—it’s a rewarding experience that allows you to positively impact your community while enjoying flexible hours, a team-focused atmosphere, and opportunities for advancement. Many of our swim instructors go on to become Coordinators, Aquatics Directors, Coaches, and more!

What You'll Do:

As a Swim Instructor, you’ll teach small-group lessons using the YMCA’s nationally recognized swim curriculum, working with ages ranging from 6 months to adults, depending on your skillset and comfort level. Lessons focus on:

  • Water safety and confidence
  • Stroke fundamentals
  • Advanced swim technique

No certification? No problem! Paid training is provided.

Position Highlights:

  • Flexible scheduling that works around school, another job, or other commitments
  • 5–15 hours per week, with shifts during weekday afternoons/evenings and weekend mornings
