Family Pride Private Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and caring individuals to join our team as Companions & Homemakers.

No previous caregiving experience is required! We provide the training and certification needed to get started. If you are someone who enjoys helping others, spending time with seniors, and making a difference in someone's day, we would love to hear from you.

As a Companion & Homemaker, you will provide non-medical support to clients in the comfort of their own homes, helping them remain safe, comfortable, independent, and engaged.

Responsibilities

Companion & Homemaker duties may include:

• Providing friendly companionship and conversation
  
  
• Spending quality time with clients and helping reduce loneliness and isolation
  
  
• Preparing and serving meals and snacks
  
  
• Grocery shopping and running errands
  
  
• Light housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping
  
  
• Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
  
  
• Washing dishes and loading/unloading the dishwasher
  
  
• Laundry, folding clothes, and changing bed linens
  
  
• Organizing household items and helping maintain a clean, comfortable home
  
  
• Providing medication reminders
  
  
• Accompanying clients on walks, errands, shopping trips, appointments, and social outings
  
  
• Encouraging hobbies, games, conversation, and other activities clients enjoy
  
  
• Providing general supervision and companionship for clients experiencing memory loss or dementia
  
  
• Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate Family Pride team member
  
  
• Following each client's individual care plan and Family Pride policies and procedures
  
  

This is a non-medical Companion & Homemaker position and does not require a CNA license.


Qualifications

• No previous caregiving experience required
  
  
• No CNA certification required
  
  
• Family Pride provides required training and certification
  
  
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful
  
  
• Enjoys working with seniors and helping others
  
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
  
• Ability to follow instructions and an individual client's care plan
  
  
• Reliable and committed to scheduled shifts
  
  
• Ability to maintain client privacy and confidentiality
  
  
• Driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
