The Cath Lab is entering an exciting period of growth, expanding its team of cardiologists and introducing new procedures in Electrophysiology (EP) and Vascular. We are also enhancing our EPIC electronic health record, focusing on operational efficiencies, staffing, and patient scheduling. Our priorities are patient care quality and colleague engagement.

The Cath Lab Director will oversee a Nurse Manager and partner with the ACNO, Executive Director, and Medical Director to drive these initiatives.

🩺 Job Description:
The Cath Lab Nursing Operations Leader is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the cardiac catheterization lab, including:

  • Patient care delivery
  • Staff management
  • Budget oversight
  • Regulatory compliance

Key duties include policy development, quality and safety monitoring, budget management, and fostering a positive and professional environment for staff and patients.

📌 Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategic Planning: Align Cath Lab goals with hospital objectives, develop policies and department strategies
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, scheduling, procedure coordination, workflow efficiency, and productivity metrics
  • Staff Management: Hire, coach, evaluate, and develop staff; manage staffing needs
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage departmental budget, forecasting, and resource planning
  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain high clinical standards, ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (TJC, OSHA) and internal policies
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with physicians and departments to ensure patient-centered, coordinated care
  • Patient & Family Advocacy: Promote inclusion, excellence, and a culture that prioritizes patients and staff
