Job Description*Effective 6/24/2024, any candidates presented to Brattleboro Retreat that live within 35 miles of the facility will be subject to a 10% rate decrease. Please include the candidates address or driver's license in the submission packet.

Core Competencies

• Demonstrates the ability to take and record vital signs (Wts., BP, tprs, I&O) and as assigned.
• Interviews new and returning patients to determine general health status and outside providers and records in EHR
• Demonstrates knowledge of specimen collection, storage, and delivery criteria for toxicology testing.
• Obtains release of information documentation as required.
• Administers general health screening tools to new and existing patients.
• Meets the standards for documentation and communication to communicate necessary information about patients to treatment team. This includes Patient/Staff incident reports; Hazard/Near Miss reports completed within 24 hours of incident.
• Consistently addresses issues of self-disclosure according to program guidelines.
• Maintains appropriate demeanor as a representative of the program and is a role model for the patients as evidenced by appearance, hygiene, and behavior.
• Is responsible for care of patients property.
• Able to set limits and to follow through by teaching alternate behavior.
• Ability to role model and orient new LNA s to the unit.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skill of computer use.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
• Exhibits essential working knowledge and assessment skills to recognize and report unusual symptoms and address special needs as they arise.

Requirement description :

• 5 years of experience as a CNA/BHT (recent experience must be within the last 3 months) - REQUIRED
• Must have pediatrics/child/adolescent psych experience listed in resume - REQUIRED
• Psych/Behavioral Health experience must be listed on the resume - REQUIRED
• Must be willing to float to other units including pediatrics/child/adolescents/adults - REQUIRED
• Will consider first time travelers
  

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

• Resume with psych experience and age groups listed Ex. Psych RN - Facility - (AGE GROUP/POPULATION) - DATES
• RTO cannot exceed 7 days (RTO will not be approved 4/13-5/24 or 6/22-7/19)
  
• Psych skills checklist (within the last year)
• 2 supervisory references from last 2 years of employment
• Certifications - certifications don t need to be active at time of submission but must be willing to obtain. Please include CPI if they have it. 8 hours of NBO will be added to the COA if they do not have an active CPI since they will complete it onsite.
  
• License - confirm they are willing and eligible to obtain (please include this in the profile)
• Driver's license or candidates address must be included in the submission packet (35 miles or less will result in rate decrease)

Additional submission requirements for all Brattleboro positions

• CPI - offered onsite; please confirm at time of submission
• Please outline what patient populations your traveler has experience with.
• Any scheduling requests must be presented in the submission file.

Weekend Requirements : Every other weekend
