Pay Rate: $27.00/hour
Schedule: Rotating – 6:45 AM to 7:05 PM
Job Type: Full-Time (THIS IS A TEMP TO HIRE OPPORTUNITY)
Location: Greenfield, MA

Adecco Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Shift Lead to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, supporting a maintenance team, and helping keep production running safely and efficiently.

As a Maintenance Shift Lead, you will help coordinate daily maintenance activities, provide direction to technicians, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate maintenance activities based on production needs, safety requirements, and shift priorities.

  • Perform preventative maintenance, including lubrication, oil changes, filter replacement, cleaning, and general equipment upkeep.

  • Conduct safety talks at the beginning of each shift.

  • Maintain shift communication boards and provide updates on projects and maintenance activities.

  • Create and assign work orders to maintenance technicians.

  • Verify housekeeping and 6S standards throughout the facility.

  • Communicate regularly with production leadership and maintenance supervisors.

  • Redirect maintenance resources and labor as needed throughout the shift.

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and production machinery.

  • Assist with tooling functions and prepare tooling documentation for the shift.

  • Maintain an organized parts inventory.

  • Communicate project and equipment status to leadership.

  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, and overall efficiency.

  • Perform other related maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, maintenance instructions, operating procedures, and technical documentation.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Basic mathematical skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.

  • Basic welding experience or willingness to learn.

  • Ability and willingness to travel between facilities or obtain parts when necessary.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to push or pull heavy objects weighing up to 250 pounds.

  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

  • Ability to routinely stand, sit, walk, hear, and communicate.

  • Ability to reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and balance, including working in tight or awkward spaces.

  • Good close vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.

  • Ability to safely operate or become certified to operate powered industrial equipment as required.



Pay Details: $27.00 per hour
