The team at The Mindfulness and Change Group (MCG) is pleased to announce an opening for a licensed clinical psychologist or clinical social worker to join our collaborative and dedicated team. Our busy and growing specialty center is in high demand in the community and has recently expanded to a new location. This position is an excellent opportunity for the evidence-based professional who has the requisite training, clinical expertise, respect and sensitivity for our patients' values and unique learning histories.

MCG is a group private practice in Watertown and Acton, MA, offering state of the art, evidence-based, cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapies, consultation, training, and assessment in a relaxing outpatient setting. Within our DBT programming, we currently offer full model DBT services for adolescents and adults. This full/part time position would include carrying individual cases and leading at least one skills group each week. We also provide DBT-oriented family therapy and parent coaching. Within the practice, there are also opportunities for program development, leadership, and supervisory roles.

A strong applicant is one with either child/adolescent (preferred) or adult experience, experience working with parents, a background in behavioral and other evidenced-based therapies (DBT, PE, CPT, ERP, and PCIT, Parent Management Training, habit reversal training, among others), a commitment to learning, a willingness to expand their comfort zone, and a passion for providing compassionate and high quality treatment to our clients. DBT experience is a must.

Required Experience and Education

\n

    \n
  • Relevant mental health degree - Doctorate in Clinical/Counseling Psychology (PhD/PsyD/EdD), LICSW, LMHC, LMFT
  • \n

  • Independent licensure is required; Must be licensed or license-eligible in Massachusetts.
  • \n

  • New graduates may apply though preference is given for clinicians with 3+ post graduate years of experience
  • \n

  • Prior experience providing DBT is required and completion of formal DBT training (e.g., BehavioralTech DBT Foundational Training or equivalent)
  • \n

  • Experience working with children and adolescents, as well as parents and families
  • \n

  • Training in behavioral and evidence-based therapies such as DBT, PE, CPT, ERP, PCIT, Parent Management Training, or Habit Reversal Training.
