The Stem Psychological Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. Work Environment\n

This is a full-time telehealth position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while delivering vital care to clients throughout the region. The flexibility of remote work provides an opportunity to balance your professional commitments with personal needs while ensuring you have access to necessary tools and resources for effective practice. Our work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility to accommodate patient requirements.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and mental health status, establishing a foundation for tailored treatment approaches.

  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans that are focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the unique needs of each patient.
  • \n

  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.
  • \n

  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions, and, as appropriate, group therapy sessions, to support patients in processing trauma and developing effective coping strategies in a supportive environment.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure seamless patient care and integration of services.
  • \n

  • Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely and effective assistance.
  • \n

  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with resources to navigate their recovery journey.
  • \n

  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation consistent with legal and ethical standards, ensuring complete and accurate records of patient interactions and treatment progress.
  • \n

  • Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to foster a collaborative and supportive professional environment focused on trauma-informed care.
  • \n

  • Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously enhance clinical practices.
  • \n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals experiencing trauma, PTSD, and related disorders. These clients often present a unique set of challenges, and your expertise will be critical in helping them navigate their experiences and build healthier coping mechanisms. Your ability to provide empathetic and skilled care will play a vital role in their recovery and overall mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
  • \n

  • A strong foundation of knowledge regarding trauma-related disorders and evidence-based trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • \n

  • Proficiency in delivering therapies that specifically address trauma, with a demonstrated ability to implement interventions effectively.
  • \n

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
  • \n

  • Capacity to remain calm and collected in high-stress situations while thinking critically to assess and respond to patient needs.
  • \n

  • Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications to document services and maintain patient information.
  • \n

  • Ability to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to diverse professional dynamics.

Preferred Experience\n

  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling, especially focused on trauma recovery.
