Automotive Technician – General Repair (Westford, MA Area)
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Pay DOE ($25–$38/hr typical)
Higher pay available for techs with their own tools.
About the Shop
A locally owned, well-established independent repair shop in the Westford, MA (01886) area is looking to bring on an experienced, reliable Automotive Technician. The shop handles everyday maintenance and repairs for a steady base of loyal customers and is growing its team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, brakes, filters, tire rotations
- Diagnose and repair common mechanical issues
- Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend services
- Perform MA state inspections (if licensed; not required to start)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Requirements
- 1–5+ years general automotive repair experience
- Strong knowledge of brakes, suspension, and basic diagnostics
- Valid driver’s license
- Own tools preferred — higher pay for techs with a full set
- MA Inspector’s License is a plus but not required
Pay & Schedule
Typical Pay in the Westford/Chelmsford Area:
✅ $25–$32/hr – Standard tech (general maintenance + basic repairs)
✅ $32–$38/hr – Techs with full toolset
✅ $40/hr+ – Diagnostics + MA Inspector’s License
Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours
