Job Description:
Lead the end-to-end development of scalable BI solutions, owning the full data lifecycle from ETL and data modeling to reporting and deployment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures
- Design and maintain dimensional data models (fact/dimension, star/snowflake schemas)
- Develop and manage SSAS cubes and analytical models
- Create and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports using DAX
- Monitor and improve performance (indexing, execution plans, query tuning)
- Own CI/CD pipelines and database deployment processes
- Translate business requirements into technical data solutions across Finance, Ops, HR, and Sales
- Troubleshoot data issues and ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Support SQL Server environments, integrations, and database administration tasks
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- 8–12 years of BI/SQL development experience
- Expert-level T-SQL (stored procedures, CTEs, performance tuning)
- Hands-on SQL Server and SSIS (ETL development)
- Strong data modeling experience (fact/dimension, star/snowflake schemas)
- Experience with SSAS (cubes, MDX)
- Power BI expertise (DAX, dashboards, reporting)
- Experience with CI/CD for databases (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
- Proven ability to own end-to-end data pipelines (ETL → reporting)
- Strong business translation skills across multiple departments
- Experience working in small, fast-paced environments wearing multiple hats
Nice-to-Haves:
- Healthcare or hospital industry experience
- Strong DBA experience (replication, partitioning, backups)
- Experience with SSRS
- Exposure to AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT)
- Background in smaller organizations
