Physical Therapist Aide/Exercise Specialist - FT and PT with flexibility for additional hours as needed for a busy outpatient orthopedic facility. This is an excellent opportunity for students attempting to get into PT/PTA school or new graduates with exercise science / kinesiology background.

Ideal candidate has good organizational skills, an outgoing personality and a strong work ethic. No experience necessary but the ability to learn, multitask, and maintain professionalism, is a MUST. No license or certificate necessary.

Job Purpose:

Supports physical therapy care delivery by preparing treatment area, patient, equipment and materials; performing procedures, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

Duties:

* Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.

* Answers telephone, performs various clerical duties including filing and faxing, and schedules physical therapy appointments.

*Assists the physical therapist by preparing heat packs; helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion; tracking exercise repetitions, sets, weight, and technique; controlling patient flow on gym floor.

* Maintains safe and clean working environment .

* Maintains physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies.

* Enhances physical therapy department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
