Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a resource room setting, providing pull-out services to 4th-grade students. This contract position offers a chance to work in an engaging learning environment, focusing on individualized educational plans and fostering student growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Massachusetts DESE Special Education Certification (required)
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably 4th grade
- Proven ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Familiarity with resource room and pull-out instructional strategies
Location and Schedule:
- Position located in Leominster, MA
- Elementary school setting
- Contract duration from ASAP to June 18, 2026
- 35 hours per week, 5 days per week
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized education plans for assigned students
- Provide pull-out services and resource room instruction tailored to student needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting instructional approaches accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal special education regulations
