J. Derenzo Properties LLC, located in Needham, MA, is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused Construction Equipment Operator to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity offering consistent work on both residential and commercial construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience operating excavators, Bobcats/skid steers, and other construction equipment. We are looking for someone who prioritizes safety, works efficiently, and takes pride in performing quality work in a professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate excavators, Bobcats/skid steers, and other heavy construction equipment.
- Complete excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and material handling tasks.
- Assist with site preparation and other general construction duties as needed.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and communicate any maintenance or mechanical concerns.
- Coordinate with Foremen, Project Managers, and fellow crew members to complete work effectively.
- Adhere to all job-site safety procedures, standards, and regulations.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Operate equipment productively while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating excavators and Bobcats/skid steers.
- Valid Massachusetts 1C/2A Hoisting Engineer's License required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to operate equipment safely, efficiently, and effectively.
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- CDL is a plus but not required.
- Experience operating additional types of construction equipment is a plus.
