Nurse Manager – Labor & Delivery
Location: Cambridge
Schedule: Deferred | Rotating | 40 hrs/week
Assignment: 12 Weeks (02/10/2026 – 05/02/2026)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Labor & Delivery for a travel assignment. This role requires a hands-on clinical leader with strong L&D management experience, charge capability, and flexibility with variable shifts to support safe, high-quality maternal and newborn care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Labor & Delivery unit
- Ensure safe, evidence-based nursing care for laboring mothers and newborns
- Support staffing, scheduling, and daily workflow to maintain appropriate coverage
- Serve as a clinical resource and provide charge nurse support as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety initiatives
- Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and staff performance
- Support staff development, coaching, and competency validation
- Communicate effectively with leadership regarding unit operations, issues, and opportunities for improvement
Role Highlights:

- 40-hour work weeks with variable shifts (8s, 10s, or 12s)
- Must work every other major holiday
- Charge experience highly preferred
- EMR experience preferred: Epic
- No on-call
