Join our dynamic activities team at Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a skilled nursing facility owned and operated by Salter Healthcare since 1976. As an Activities Aide, you will play an important role in developing and supporting recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events designed to meet the unique interests and needs of our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events that meet residents' needs and interests.

  • Support, encourage, and motivate residents to participate in activities.

  • Transport residents to and from activities as needed.

  • Accompany residents to special events and trips outside the facility.

  • Facilitate activities while maintaining awareness of all participating residents.

  • Clean up after activities and prepare supplies and spaces for upcoming programs.

  • Assemble, dismantle, organize, and store equipment and supplies used for recreational programs.

  • Communicate with residents' families as needed and encourage family involvement in activities.

  • Promote a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous experience and demonstrated interest in working with seniors preferred.

  • Positive, energetic, compassionate, and dependable attitude.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Must be able to work the required schedule and rotation.
