Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification for Massachusetts (or eligibility).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Prior experience teaching or supporting students with disabilities in a school environment.
  • Knowledge of current special education laws, IEP process, and instructional strategies.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Adaptable, compassionate, and dedicated to fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IEPs tailored to students’ individual needs and goals.
  • Deliver direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications in resource, inclusion, or self-contained settings as appropriate.
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
  • Assess student progress, collect data, and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Partner with general education staff, related service providers, and families to ensure coordinated support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
