Job Description

Step into a rewarding role as a Paraprofessional supporting students across a vibrant charter school community. This contract position offers the chance to make a real impact, working with children from Kindergarten through 9th grade. You'll thrive in this role if you bring energy, flexibility, and a proactive spirit to your daily work, offering vital instructional and behavioral support wherever it’s needed most.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with classroom teachers and special education staff to provide individualized and small-group support for students in diverse age groups.
  • Transition seamlessly among elementary, middle, and early high school grades as a “floating” paraprofessional based on daily school needs.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and structured atmosphere for learners at all developmental stages.
  • Assist with classroom management, student supervision, and lesson implementation, contributing to a collaborative, supportive educational environment.
  • Build strong connections with students, maintaining a patient, responsive attitude across a wide range of personalities and learning needs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree, Paraprofessional Certification, or a passing Praxis Assessment score preferred.
  • Genuine comfort moving between upper and lower grades (K–9) and working with students of all ages.
  • Exceptional adaptability and readiness to step into new environments as needed.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain positive, calm, and organized in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

This position offers a unique path to grow your experience, especially if you enjoy variety and want to become an essential part of a school community. Candidates will learn specific site details and schedule structure during the interview process.
