We are responsible for the provision of basic services to clients and for the safe day-to-day operation of the shelter. The shelter is located in Lowell, MA.Our client's current needs are for first shift (7am-3pm), second shift (3pm-11pm), and third shift (11pm-7am). SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY*Initiate and maintain appropriate social interactions with residents and assist residents as needed*Conduct rounds of shelter to maintain safety and security of residents*Assist with preparation, serving and cleanup of meals during the shift*Intervene if a resident is in crisis (medical, mental health, interpersonal)*Complete assigned tasks of shift*Maintain order and cleanliness of the shelter*Attend and participate in monthly meetings and any other client required trainingsCLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE*Previous work with homeless individuals and/or families, disabilities or other at-risk populations*Ability to work alone and handle crises with good judgment, adequate communication skills - both written and oral*Current CPR and First Aid Certifications *Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend stairs up to three or more sets, frequently move equipment weighing up to 5-20 lbs., and remain in a stationary position 50% of the time*Haitian or Spanish language skills encouraged to apply.Additional Essential Functions*Sitting, standing, reaching above, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, traversing, thinking, speaking, writing, concentrating, interaction with others.Company Mission Delta-T Group's mission is to provide cost-effective, reliable referrals, and innovative referral solutions, for the social services, behavioral health, allied health and special education fields, for the betterment of independent behavioral health professionals seeking new opportunities and those needing care and support.Additional InformationCandidates replying to this role also usually have experience or interest in other roles including: Direct Support Professional, DSPs, Care Givers, Aides, Home Health Aide, Mental Health Technicians, MHTs, Behavior Health Technicians, BHTs, and Youth Care Workers.
