Cable Installation Technician – AV Installations
Location: Boston, MA

Overview
Our client is seeking Cable Installation Technicians to support commercial Audio Visual (AV) installation projects throughout the Boston area. This is a hands-on field position working on the installation, termination, and testing of low-voltage cabling and AV systems in corporate, healthcare, education, and commercial environments.
This opportunity is ideal for technicians with experience pulling and terminating cable who want to grow within the AV industry. Projects are active and immediate, with qualified candidates able to start as soon as possible.
Required Experience
- Experience pulling, routing, and securing low-voltage cable
- Ability to terminate Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
- Experience reading blueprints, floor plans, and cable schedules
- Familiarity with commercial construction environments
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and cable testing equipment
- Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in ceiling spaces
Preferred Experience
- Previous AV installation experience
- Experience with conference room technology deployments
- Familiarity with Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Poly, Cisco, or Microsoft Teams Rooms environments
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Responsibilities
- Pull, label, dress, and terminate structured cabling
- Install AV equipment including displays, speakers, microphones, cameras, and control systems
- Mount equipment according to project drawings and specifications
- Perform cable testing and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Work closely with project managers and lead technicians to complete installations on schedule
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Reliable transportation to project sites throughout the Boston area
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Compensation
- Pay is based on experience
- Overtime opportunities may be available

This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
