Role:&nbsp;
The Psychiatristcoordinatesand assists with overseeing psychiatric services together with Behavioral Health Director based out of our Community Health&nbsp;Center&nbsp; as well as provides directservices to patients. &nbsp;Duties include but are not limited to evaluation,diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions; issuing prescriptions andmaintenance for clients on psychotropic medication; assumes leadership role incase conferences and in-service training of staff; actively participates in peerreview and Utilization Review (UR). &nbsp;&nbsp;
Responsibilities:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Prescribes and maintains clients on psychotropic medication.</li>
<li>Evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions.</li>
<li>Supports substance use disorder care.</li>
<li>Participates in diagnostic formulations and development of treatment plans for the department.</li>
<li>Supports Behavioral Health Director with input and review of behavioral health-related policies.</li>
<li>Takes a leadership role in case conferences and in-service training of staff, including an overview of medical problems and organic psychiatric and neurological problems.</li>
<li>Participates in Peer Review and Utilization Review.</li>
<li>Collaborates with psychiatric nurse practitioner in consultation and peer review.</li>
<li>Provides psychiatric consultation to primary care medical providers.</li>
<li>Participates in training of Behavioral Health Department interns and staff, possibly also other Agency staff, as arranged with Behavioral Health Department Director.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Completed accredited physician residency and training in Psychiatry&nbsp;</li>
<li>Current Massachusetts MD License, MCSR, DEA, and Basic Life Support required or ability to obtain</li>

Salary $ 250,000 to $ 310,000 annualized
