Summary: The Direct Support Professional 1 will support and assist in Level 1 residential programs. Staff will help individuals who need daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living while managing within a home environment and in the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Provide support and assist individuals with skills training in all activities of daily living.</li>
<li>Create opportunities and provide support to individuals to make decisions to develop their skills and foster independence. </li>
<li>Provide services to individuals according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Provide support and assist individuals with all medical, clinical, and financial needs.</li>
<li>Transport and accompany individuals as needed to and from medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.</li>
<li>Maintain required documentation according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Assist individuals with accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community.</li>
<li>Administer medications according to MAP regulations, as applicable.</li>
<li>Maintain core training certifications including FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP. </li>
<li>Maintain additional mandated certifications and training as required by the program.</li>
<li>Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders.</li>

Required Education/Experience:

<li>Must have a high school diploma or GED - Associate's Degree or DSP Certification Preferred.</li>
<li>A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities is preferred.</li>

Required Skills/Knowledge:

<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills so that the writing of required documents is clear and articulate.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Valid driver's license and minimum of one year of driving experience.</li>

Job Summary:
The Milieu Manager is an evolution of the Direct Care II staff and is expected to continue to fulfill all expectations of a Supervisor and will work with multiple age groups. In addition to those expectations, the Milieu Manager will take a leadership role while reporting to the Assistant Director and Program Director. The Milieu Manager will maintain a therapeutic environment within the residence, this includes meeting the needs of the client in the following areas: safety, medical, emotional, food, clothing, and shelter; supervising Residential Counselors/Relief in those areas and providing support and training as needed; maintain consistent manner in implementing reasonable limits and structure for each client on a daily basis in the residence and in the community.
Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>To provide leadership to their shift.</li>
<li>To implement each client’s individual Level Plan objectives under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor and Program Supervisor.</li>

<li>To provide appropriate, safe responses to emergency situations when necessary.</li>
<li>To develop strong, supportive relationships with the clients and employees.</li>
<li>To provide for client care and safety, and observe all safety measures.</li>
<li>Access, plan and implement crisis interventions with clients.</li>
<li>To notify Program Director immediately in the event of a client crisis, suspected illegal activity or any behavior constituting an incident in the program.</li>

Minimum Qualifications:

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or 2 years related field preferred.</li>
