1. The RSC works as a team alongside the resident services staff, property management team, residents, volunteers and community partners.
2. Connecting our residents to services, resources and support is a primary duty of the RSC. This includes assessments, education, referrals to service providers and the one ongoing monitoring of support. Some examples of service topics include resources to help older adults age in place, rental assistance, benefits and entitlements, job support, early childhood education, food assistance and mental health.
3. The RSC establishes onsite wellness programs and events through relationships with community partners and/or utilizing the RSC programming budget. Topics can range from having celebrations that prevent isolation and build community to lectures on health topics and general wellbeing, such as fraud prevention or computer classes.
4. Advocate, organize, problem-solve to obtain results for residents.
5. Establish relationships with agencies and service providers in the community who will provide direct services to residents.

 Hours: Full time 7 - 3 with weekends

Job Summary:
The per-diem RCA performs the resident services tasks as assigned by the Resident Care Director. Our services are a prime focus for our Resident Care Department. This position provides service and care to each resident in a timely efficient manner. Maintain high resident and family satisfaction, meet high expectations, and ensure that HallKeen Assisted Living services are implemented in a service/customer focused manner. Must work at least twice a month.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The following essential functions are the fundamental job duties of the position to be completed with or without appropriate reasonable accommodation.

<li>Provide activities of daily living assistance to the residents as directed from each Resident’s Service Plan.</li>
<li>Provides medication reminders according to state regulations. (NOT TO ADMINISTER)</li>
<li>Understand and comply with all Resident Rights.</li>
<li>Work well with seniors showing understanding and patience.</li>
<li>Prioritize tasks to ensure optimum services to residents as requests and needs change.</li>
<li>Inform supervisor of changes in a resident’s condition and needs. Document these observations thoroughly and communicates any changes to other staff. </li>

<li>Assist relatives, visitor and guests as needed.</li>

<li>Maintain assisted living area to be clean and odor free.</li>

Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Must have current certification within the state as a nursing assistant or have successfully completed the certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program and can provide proof of same.</li>
<li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>Must successfully complete Self -Administered Medication Management Training and yearly retrainings.</li>
<li>Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Able to write simple correspondence. Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.</li>
<li>Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.</li>
<li>Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.</li>
<li>Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.</li>
</ul>
