Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager (and Associate Director) the Overnight Supervisor is a dedicated residential professional experienced in effectively supervising the delivery of residential services, milieu engagement, and rapport building with residents. The Overnight Supervisor serves as a residential counselor (engaging with residents) and role model for residents and team members. A Bridge Overnight Supervisor has strong interpersonal and communication skills, is patient and empathetic. 
The Overnight Supervisor is expected to work a four night (10-hour shifts) weekly schedule, providing weekend coverage (every other weekend), as well as maintain the flexibility to meet schedule demands as needed; including holidays. 
A fundamental duty of the Overnight Supervisor is supporting the transitions from 2nd shift into the 3rd shift, and from 3rd shift into the 1st shift. 
The Overnight Supervisor will provide individual supervision with the other overnight staff as determined by the Program Manager or Associate Director.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week; Monday – Friday, 4pm – 12:30am with some flexibility needed for meetings with staff, neighborhood meetings, and emergency calls. On-call rotation required.
 
Pays $61,464.00/annually - DOE
 
This position carries a retention payment of $3,000.00, $1,000.00 payable at 12 months, and $2,000.00 at 24 months

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
 
Pine Street Inn Supportive Housing provides comprehensive residential, case management, and clinical support services to Supportive Housing tenants. The Residential Supervisor directly supervises a residential team of evening and overnight residential counselors and house managers. The residential services team provides supportive services to tenants in housing helping tenants achieve their highest level of self-sufficiency, through tenant engagement and intervention in the evening and overnight shifts, and in coordination with the Case Management teams who operate in the day. The Supervisor will coordinate staff coverage for the mobile evening counselors in their portfolio and is responsible for program content including the implementation of effective best practices (Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and Trauma Informed Care) and ensures the provision of high quality supports on a 24/7 basis. This will involve hiring, evaluation, training and support of supervisees; ensuring compliance with licensing and legal requirements; and communicating key objectives to staff and ensuring compliance with the same. The supervisor will monitor and ensure staff compliance with training, safety, mediate issues with tenants, and coordinate the work of this team with the PSI Supportive Housing Case Management, Property Management and Facilities departments, as well as other PSI Departments. The Supervisor also provides leadership in crisis situations, will carry a cell phone, and will participate in responding to emergency calls in an on-call rotating schedule. The individual will be self-motivated, with solid communications skills, capable of creating policies, procedures and plans in coordination with their peer Residential Supervisors and the Associate Director of Residential Services. This position requires a great deal of tact, diplomacy and creative problem solving in order to maintain our positive working relationship with our neighbors.
 
*Please note - All credentials and licensures will be reviewed annually as part of the PSI credentialing process. Additionally an annual CORI review will be conducted for the Supervisor. Acceptable results of annual credentialing and CORI reviews will be required of the Supervisor. 
 Requirements:
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
 
REQUIRED: 
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma </li>
<li>5 years of clinical supervisory experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience in the substance abuse/mental health field</li>
<li>Ability to travel throughout Boston and Brookline</li>
</ul>
PREFERRED:
<ul>
<li>Training in Motivational Interviewing and the Stages of Change model.</li>
<li>Knowledge of and strong commitment to harm reduction philosophy, principles and practices.</li>

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED

<li>Prior experience working with homeless individuals and/or supportive housing.</li>
<li>Three years direct care experience providing services, including assessment and service planning, to adults living in the community with mental illness and/or addictive disorders.</li>

PREFERRED:

<li>Knowledge of landlord/tenant procedures, and/or subsidized housing programs. </li>
<li>Experience working with chronically homeless, medically vulnerable individuals, with tri-morbidities (mental illness, substance abuse, medically compromised)</li>
<li>Familiarity with and commitment to Housing First as a model of permanent, supported, affordable housing</li>
<li>Experience with Trauma-Informed Care· Bilingual in Spanish and English. </li>
