Summary: The Direct Support Professional 2 will provide support and assistance in Level 2 residential programs. Staff will provide support to individuals who need daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living while managing within a home environment and in the community. Individuals may require moderate physical assistance or accommodation. Staff will receive and must pass specialized training to provide enhanced supervision or interventions designed to address multiple disabilities which may include behavioral supports or enhanced medical care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Provide support and assist individuals with skills training in all activities of daily living.</li>
<li>Create opportunities and provide support to individuals to make decisions to develop their skills and foster independence.</li>
<li>Provide services to individuals according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Provide support and assist individuals with all medical, clinical, and financial needs.</li>
<li>Transport and accompany individuals as needed to and from medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.</li>
<li>Maintain required documentation according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Assist individuals with accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community.</li>
<li>Administer medications according to MAP regulations, as applicable.</li>
<li>Maintain core training certifications including FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP.</li>
<li>Maintain other additional required training and certifications as required by the program.</li>
<li>Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders.</li>

Required Education/Experience:

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Developmental Services (DS), the Senior Program Manager is responsible for the oversight and effective operation of both the Staffed Living and Supported Independent Living programs. The Senior Program Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of both programs, including supervision of staff, coordination of client services, residential household management, and housing placements. Additionally, the Senior Program Manager is expected to stay informed on the status and support needs of Public Safety clients within the Staffed Living program, ensuring that services are responsive and appropriate. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT/SUPERVISION: The Senior Program Manager provides administrative supervision to Program Coordinators and is responsible for monitoring the quality and effectiveness of services delivered across programs. This role ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures and is responsible for completing annual performance evaluations for supervised staff. The Senior Program Manager actively participates in the recruitment and interview process for new hires, in collaboration with Program Coordinators, and identifies training needs to support staff development. They are responsible for coordinating and maintaining documentation related to staff training, and for delivering supervision through individual meetings, group sessions, and role modeling.
In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Senior Program Manager provides direct support to clients as needed. <li>Ensure robust training is provided to staff on using a trauma-informed approach and motivational interviewing as key facets of strengths-based case management services.</li>
<li>Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the program/department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals. </li>
<li>Recruit, supervise, develop and evaluate staff by providing timely mentoring, training and performance management. Complete required paperwork in accordance with company policy.</li>
<li>Oversee scheduling, coverage, case management and housing search services provided by the program.</li>
<li>Create a climate in which all residents are empowered, respected and treated with dignity.</li>
<li>Coordinate smooth, timely transitions of families into shelter.</li>
<li>Prepare all required reports, grants, etc. and attend agency, regional and Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) meetings.</li>
<li>Attend regular FES meetings and participate in scheduled trainings.</li>
<li>Coordinate and lead case conferences, as needed.</li>
<li>Develop beneficial working relationships with local churches, social service agencies and business leaders.</li>
<li>Monitor property condition, report maintenance needs and coordinate needed repairs with Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to ensure appropriate upkeep of building.</li>
<li>Ensure timely, accurate data entry into Efforts to Outcome (ETO) and maintenance of client records in accordance with DHCD regulations.</li>
<li>Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of work.</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, as well as, SMOC policies &amp; procedures.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned. </li>

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

<li>Bachelor’s degree preferred.</li>
<li>Supervisory experience managing multiple people of at least 3 years.</li>
<li>Sensitivity to low-income families of diverse backgrounds.</li>

<li>Flexibility in schedule.</li>
<li>Valid Driver’s license, reliable vehicle and evidence of insurability.</li>

Organizational Relationship: Directly reports to Director, Emergency Assistance (EA) Shelter and Navigators/Director, EA Shelters and Facilities. Indirectly reports to: n/a. Direct reports of this position are case manager, rehousing specialists, and program specialists. Indirect reports of this position are: maintenance.
Physical Requirement: Ability to lift 25 lbs. Ability to ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs.
Working Conditions: As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Shelter and Rehousing Manager will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. A successful background check is required.
Remote Work Option: Remote work is permissible in some positions at SMOC depending on the key functions and responsibilities. The Shelter and Rehousing Manager position is eligible to work from home ENTER PERCENTAGE of the week in scheduling coordination with the department manager.
